Rare Antique Porcelain Inkwell Set by Carl Friedrich Boseck & Co. (1880–1918)
A stunning and exceptionally rare porcelain inkwell set by Carl Friedrich Boseck & Co., crafted in Haida, Bohemia, during the late 19th to early 20th century. This exquisite set embodies the elegance of the Victorian era, featuring hand-gilded Japonaiserie motifs inspired by Satsuma ware, with delicate depictions of fruits, flowers, bamboo, cherry blossoms, and birds adorning both the inkwells and the tray.
The inkwells are beautifully housed within a hardwood stand with original brass collars, engraved decoration, and a velvet-lined insert. The pottery mark, a distinctive “winged crown,” confirms its authenticity as an early piece from the Aesthetic Movement.
